DALSTON is conquering one of the world’s great exhibition spaces. Artists and displays are being invited to star in the monthly Friday Late at the Victoria and Albert Museum, on 28 June 2013.

One of the acts at South Kensington will be Lorenzo Vitturi with his exhibition of what he calls photo-sculptures. They have been showing in Ridley Road Market, as Loving Dalston reported, and at the Fishbar gallery, 76 Dalston Lane E8 1NG.

The innovative Arcola Theatre, and the popular Eastern Curve Garden are scheduled to join the rave in the gothic-style venue, where the DJs will include reggaeista and Four Aces Club founder Newton Dunbar, JustJam and Jack Rollo. Also promising are What We Wore, a live archive,  and a discussion entitled Value in Dalston: Creatives or Nando’s?

* Friday Lates are 6.30-10 events at the V and A, Cromwell Road, South Kensington SW7 2RL. Free. They  feature live performances, fashion, debates, installations, a bar (discounts for MasterCard-users), DJs and over-use of the word “iconic”.
