A chance to write your way to an Olympian prize

YOU’VE ONLY a few weeks left to write a story to win two tickets to the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games this summer.

The judging panel, which includes GB Paralympic GB sitting volleyball team captain Claire Harvey and 800m Gold medallist Danny Crates, will be looking for “the best and most inspirational disability sports story” uploaded before the contest closes at midnight on Friday 31 May 2013.

Entries are invited from sporties as well as coaches, volunteers and family members of people involved in disability sport at any level.

If your effort does not win, it may be used to build a bank of inspirational stories, says organiser Motivate East, which works to inspire disabled people in the Olympic host boroughs to get into sport.

* Emboldened underscored words in most cases indicate a hyperlink, a reader service that is rare among websites. If a link does not work, it is probably because the site to which the URL refers has not been maintained.

* Sorry about the late notification of this contest: it was given to Loving Dalston at an unusually busy time. — Ed.
