FANCY A FREE BEER? Pop along to Clissold Park in Stoke Newington tomorrow Saturday and with the right app you might score a can of cold beer.
Beavertown Brewery is launching a beer-delivery service using what3words to hand-deliver a free chilled can of Beavertown while you and your friends are chilling in 22.57 beautiful hectares (55.8 acres) in Hackney N16.
The brewery, which originated in the back of a bar in De Beauvoir — hence Beavertown, an adaption of the old Cockney prounciation — before moving to super premises in Tottenham, has cannily linked with what3words to trial its new address system.
The service says it has given every 3m square in the world a unique three-word identifier and on Saturday Beavertown will use the three words to pinpoint your location in the park, top, then send someone over with a chilled 330ml of Beavertown.
Only for over-18s so take ID and strictly one free can per person. Until the cans run out — and assuming the technology works.
Paws for thought before you go: perhaps try to persuade a friend with a cool home to dogsit.
