DOG SHOWS are usually fun, at least for children, and they inspired a Stoke Newington pet shop to organise a kind of free petsival.
The second annual Bark-i-tude will be staged in Abney Hall, Stoke Newington N16 0AS, on Saturday 15 June 2013 from noon to 5pm. If you want to enter your hound, be there at midday to register for the dog show at 2pm. Prizes are said to be worth more than £25 each.
Entry is free, but a £2 donation to the Dogs Trust is requested.
Poseurs (it is Hackney) might enjoy the category entitled Most Fashionable Festival-goer (accessory pooch required). If you don’t, have/can’t borrow a dog for that contest, enjoy yourself by marvelling at the inevitable wordplay of contest categories such as Pupstar
Dog-loving DJ Anna Webb, of BBC London, will compere the event.
