Teenage talent shows off fashion style in Hackney

StyleYoung: supplied picTEENAGERS in Threads, a Hackney fashion and textile project, will be showing their work this month.

The students have been working with London College of Fashion tutors and industry professionals for three months, using industry-standard equipment and resources to design and make their own clothes.

The exhibition, which they are calling Style Young, is taking place at the college in Mare Street.

At a launch earlier, at the Russet, above,Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP Diane Abbott was due to present awards to the budding fashionistas.
