THE THIEF WHO was filmed by CCTV stealing £3,500 worth of audio equipment from Rich Mix has been caught by police.

Darren Paul Ammon, 41, of no fixed address, was charged early last month September 2016 with burglary at the Bethnal Green Road E1 6LA venue.

When he appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court this week he admitted the offence, which carries a maximum punishment of 14 year’s jail.

The loss of the equipment will have had little effect on the Shoreditch arts centre, which has had many millions of pounds of public funding. Lucy Jamieson, of Rich Mix, told Loving Dalston: “We are glad the matter is coming to an end.”
