More arrests in Godwin stabbing

Police investigating the murder of 17-year-old Godwin Lawson today Tuesday 7 June 2010 arrested three more youths, aged 19, 20 and 21.
Police found Lawson’s body in Amhurst Park, north Hackney, early on Saturday 27 March. Two males, 18 and 20, were taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds received around the same time.
Today’s arrests are for suspicion of murder and the attempted murder of the two stabbing survivors. One of the arrested, a 20-year-old, is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon, a lock knife.

In April Moise Avorgah, 19, of St Ann’s Road, London N15, was charged with the murder of Lawson, who was from Enfield and said to be a promising footballer. Avorgah has also been charged with the attempted murder of the males aged 18 and 20.
