A top junk shop is back

Recycle revival: a favourite shop returns to Dalston Lane

One of Hackney’s best secondhand shops – apart from Oxfam and other charries, obviously – has reopened in Dalston Lane about 1km west of the previous location.

Ali Iriden, below, has a two-year lease on the premises, opposite the Three Compasses pub at the junction with Ridley Road east.

Loving Dalston intended to reported the reopening days ago but admits to a possible delaying while considering making a purchase or two. Best buy appeared to be a traditional china lily-of-the-valley tea-set (cup, saucers, side plates): £8. Stylishly expressed offers occasionally appeal to the staff.
