The beguiling Arnold Circus in Shoreditch is hosting a très chic event for fashionistas this windy month of November.
Suitably silly – it’s about scarves and ties – and typically puffy — it’s for Hermès, the happening will be a pop-up boutique running from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 November 2010. But it’s French, figod’ssake: it’s gonna have that je ne sais quoi, as we Brits like to say, and the theme is “J’aime mon carré” (I love my scarf).
Hermès ran a pop-up at Liberty in the style of an over-size dressing-up box. Customers were encouraged to try different ways of wearing scarves and ties while photographers toyed with the idea of recording their look.
Obviously, Liberty, great store though it is, lacked the chébran touch that the brand needed; hence the Shoreditch gig.
If you miss it, there’ll be similar events in West London and elsewhere around the world.
