DALSTON’S well-mannered busker has been robbed again by youths. They smashed his guitar before running away.
Michael, who has been playing on the ramp at the car-park entrance of the Kingsland Centre for several years, was attacked on Monday 13 Dec 2010 evening.
He was also robbed last Christmas of his takings, which totalled about £5.
This time the thugs are believed to have made off with £2.80.
A security officer at the centre saw the attack on CCTV and phoned Stoke Newington police.
They found two boys aged 15 and 16 and a man, 18, in a burger bar not far from the incident and charged them with robbery. They were later convicted.
Mikey has borrowed a guitar so he can earn some money to tide him over the season of goodwill.

I inadvertently removed a comment — whoops, sorry — while trying to add that I had already arranged to report, in summary, the courts’ decisions in due course, which could be several months from now, Jan ’11.
